Justin was born in Connecticut, a state saturated in oceanic history; but, if you ask him he will tell you he is from the ocean, “home is where the anchor drops.” Justin was raised mainly by his seafaring grandparents and received an education while they sailed up and down the Eastern Coast of the United States.
This unique childhood has lead Justin to develop an extreme appreciation for worldly experiences. He feels privileged to have spent his youth in various countries learning diverse skills and expanding his captain’s education in a myriad of maritime schools. A passionate sailor, he made this life his mission and achieved his master’s license at the juvenile age of only sixteen. Justin excels not only in sailing, but also rebuilding classic boats. His first large project was the restoration of a classic fiberglass boat, a vessel which enabled him to start his adult maritime career. He sailed south towards not only the Caribbean, but to a life of adventure and fulfillment.
For the past seven years, Justin has been professionally operating various yachts in the chartering business. The love for his craft shows not only in his expertise of the seas, but also in riveting conversations with guests about boats, the ocean, and all things nautical!
At the helm, Captain Justin takes his guests to off the beaten path locations, catches lobsters and makes fresh conch salads. Come sail with Justin and explore the hidden treasures of the islands, he’ll show you a world traversed by only a few.
First mate and chef, Sarah, was born and raised in North Carolina, but relocated to the beautiful Virgin Islands to become an island dweller. She has honed her seamanship and guide skills through various positions over the years, her first job was a lifeguard; she is such a talented swimmer she might have a set of gills behind her ears!
Sarah attended UNC Wilmington and studied Parks and Recreation Management with a focus in non profit. She has extensive experience in service and hospitality and a keen sense of adventure, guiding and maintaining the Appalachian Trail. More recently her love of cooking and all things island have lead her to the unique position of chartering yachts.
Sarah, being a multifaceted individual, finds passion and peace via hiking, rock climbing, diving, sailing, cliff jumping, surfing, traveling, or anything pertaining to the outdoors. She has spent an extensive amount of time in the rainforests of the Amazon, the woods of North America, and the Seas of the Caribbean. Abound with local knowledge about the flora, fauna, or underwater sea life, Sarah is sure to enhance all of your experiences.
Together, Justin and Sarah will make sure you leave the Caribbean with an experience of a lifetime. They will incorporate any activity; whether it is beach lounging or a diving excursion!! Get ready for these two to sail, guide, and wine and dine you and your loved ones in paradise!
