Captain Zack Wallen
Zack grew up in the West Indies (St Thomas and Nassau) around sailboats as his father was also a Captain. Living in Rome during his adolescence and then finally settling in Martha's Vineyard where most of his family still resides. Sailing has given him the opportunity to travel extensively having been able to visit all continents except Australian and Antarctica. 3 years ago Zack met Frida in Tahiti. Since then, both have worked together on yachts. They live part time in Norway where Frida does helicopter flight training. In Zack’s spare time he works on restoring a 1958 classic wooden 35ft sailboat.
Mate/Engineer – Sean Powell
Being from South Africa Sean grew up on and around the water his whole life and developed a passion for all things water. Sailing is his number one passion followed by diving, wake boarding, skate boarding and pretty much any activity someone can do outside. Sean’s dream is to finish circumnavigation of the world. So far he has been traveling for 17 years and completely enjoys the experiences he has had.
Chef - Marcus Rossi
Marcus is a passionate hard working chef from the south Devon coast in England. Marcus has been a chef for nearly 10 years in restaurants, luxury ski chalets and yachts. There’s nothing he enjoys more than giving guests an extraordinary experience catered to their specific tastes. Marcus is a talented chef that can work a menu around any dietary requirements and needs. He has the confidence and experience to put his hand to anything but what he really loves to cook with is seafood. Where Marcus is from, if you’re not catching fish you’re cooking them. His style of cooking is somewhat Mediterranean with roots in French and English fine dining. In his spare time Marcus enjoys eating local cuisines, traveling, skiing, snowboarding, rugby, tennis and football.
Chief Stewardess - Frida Ecklund
Frida grew up in a small village in central Sweden. Her taste for travel led her first to the French and Austrian Alps where she worked for 2 winter seasons. She got her start on boats in Croatia where she worked as a cook/stew aboard a 50ft charter sailboat (Navigare Yachting). She later graduated to superyachts and wound up as stewardess aboard the mega cat Hemisphere. After Frida and Zack met, she developed her longstanding interest in cooking and they became a captain/chef team aboard the charter yacht Jupiter. After Jupiter, Frida decided to pursue her dream of becoming a helicopter pilot and began her training last fall in Norway. She has more to do on that front, but has over 40 flight hours and will have flown solo by the time she joins SeaQuell.
