CAPTAIN: GEORGE (YIORGOS) SIOMOS
NATIONALITY: GREEK
Greek, born in 1966.Prior to join the yachting industry George is a graduate in Engineering. He is also an accomplished water sport instructor specialized in water ski with several years of working experience at Corfu Island.
His yachting career begins at the age of 25 having now more than 15 years charter experience on sailing and motor vessels.
He holds a Commercially Endorsed RYA Yachtmaster Ocean license, and his qualifications extend well beyond official certifications. He has accumulated more than 80.000 miles extensively in Mediterranean Ionian and Aegean regions including many deliveries from South and North France. He delights in all aspects of life at sea and winter time he is responsible for maintenance and coordination of a 50 feet catamaran.
Moreover his offshore experience brings to a charter much beneficial local knowledge.
As a qualified Instructor, George takes great pleasure in sharing his sailing and cruising awareness with guests and can instruct in the arts of water-skiing.
George is a PADI licensed diver and enjoys scuba diving, water skiing and fishing as well as sailing and racing. He speaks fluently the English language and enjoys socializing with people from the entire world over. He is committed to ensuring every guest has a memorable experience whilst onboard Idea. George greatly enjoys the cruising lifestyle and is always keen to explore new islands, coastlines and anchorages.

DECKHAND/ HOSTESS: VENIA (EVGENIA) VARTHOLOMEOU

Greek, born in 1984.Venia is a graduate on physical education of University of Athens specialized on sailing. Since 2001 is an accomplished swimming and sailing teacher mainly to young children.
She has been involved in the field of yachting as a crew member since 2004 and she has a sailing and a motor boat national diploma. She has sailed all over the Greek islands and Mediterranean Sea including non-stop passages from France to Greece.
As an experienced charter cook has developed a diverse and creative cooking repertoire that features a broad selection of dishes redolent with the flavors of the Mediterranean however her menu reflects also a wide range of traditional Greek dishes which are truly a gastronomical experience. She also loves spending her free time doing some experimental cooking and tasting new recipes.
Venia is excited to be able to combine her passion for boating and the sea with her service industry skills, furthermore loves to adapt to the personal preferences of her guests which makes her a warm and welcoming host. She speaks fluently the English language and has an intermediate knowledge of French and Spanish language.
