Chef: Maxine White

She quickly took to sailing and it was not long before she quit her job in the San Francisco Financial District and sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge with Whitey. She has since completed over 45,000 blue water miles. Since marrying on Cane Garden Bay, Tortola, Whitey and Max have worked in the charter industry for over 10 years when they have hosted over 2000 guests. After a few years in the BVI’s, they spent two and a half years chartering the San Blas Islands and Panama during which they completed 18 transits with guests of the Panama Canal. Max’s treats from the galley are a combination of the cuisines of the countries she has visited and explored while utilizing fresh local ingredients. While living in Australia, she owned her own personal chef and catering company and is a major award winner at a Caribbean boat show culinary competition. Maxine is a PADI Dive Master who is as comfortable leading a group of divers or snorkelers in the water or working the sails of a boat as she is in the galley. Both Max and Whitey speak Spanish, and Whitey is comfortable with Portuguese and German.
