Captain Peter Martin
Peter has been with UNFORGETTABLE for over 7 years. He did have a brief break from the yacht when he had the pleasure of being the build Captain on the 132’ Broward named SERQUE. Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, he spent his vacations on the Cape where he found his love for the ocean. After working in the service industry for his early years he quickly found himself in management positions. After managing many successful nightclubs and restaurants he finally opened his own Portuguese restaurant with a child hood friend. After four years of the restaurant business he moved to Florida where he discovered the Yachting industry. For the last 7 + years he has traveled extensively on the East coast of the US, Bahamas and Caribbean. He is very competent and enthusiastic and loves utilizing his hospitality background on charters. Meeting new people and sharing his world of land and sea is what drives him.
Chef Gerard Pond
Gerard Pond, a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, has moved quickly through the ranks of the foodservice industry. Capitalizing on not just his baking and cooking skills, but also his managerial abilities, Jerry relocated from Boston to Fort Lauderdale over ten years ago to open the successful and award winning Stork's Bakery. Prior to joining the crew of UNFORGETTABLE, he was operating as a freelance restaurant consultant in South Florida. Bringing his expansive skill set into the world of yachting presented him with yet another unique career opportunity: a perfect environment to showcase his talents and love of all things culinary on an intimate and personal level. A self professed "food nerd," he takes special delight in introducing guests to new cuisines and the reinvention of familiar ones. Most recently, he is competing for a chance to be on the reality TV show, “Top Chef” for 2010!
Mate Joe Nolan
Joe grew up on the Northern Beaches in Sydney, Australia. From a young age he had a deep passion for the ocean and its surroundings. After a brief stint as head Ball Boy in the Australian Tennis Open, he found his way back to the waves and wind. As soon as he reached 21, Joe flew over to Fort Lauderdale and joined CHAMAR, a 186' Brook yacht; from then on he knew this was the life for him. Joe worked on several other yachts including BIG EAGLE (172’ MIE), and LADINA (140' Feadship) all over the Eastern and Western Mediterranean. In 2006, he joined AZZURRA II (156' CRN) which was a heavy charter yacht in the Mediterranean. Joe worked with Captain Peter on SERQUE and looking forward to working with him again on UNFORGETTABLE. Joe and Captain Peter have a great working relationship and are quite the duo around the charter clients!
Joe’s interests included surfing, sailing, cooking, annoying the Stews, guitar hero, reading, camping, paintball, and remote control toys.
Chief Stewardess Amy Jennings
Qualifications: STCW (BSc Hons Equine Science, MCAM Equine Spinal Therapy)
Born and raised in Oxford, England, Amy is a keen horse rider and has grown up competing in affiliated Dressage, Eventing and Show Jumping. With this unique background, she completed a degree in Equine Science and consequently a Masters degree in Equine Chiropracting. Amy was working within the Sports PR industry, when she moved into the Yachting industry where she has quickly gained a broad range of experience. This includes working on the worlds largest privately owned sail yacht and cruising all over Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Indonesia.
When not working or horse riding, Amy enjoys all outdoor activities and in 2008 completed the Flora London Marathon.
Stewardess Kirsty Forsyth
Kirsty was born and raised in South Africa, where she studied for her Marketing
and Logistics degree. After her studies, she moved to London where she lived for two
years and worked in Advertising sales for a financial newspaper. Having gained experience in the corporate world, Kirsty decided that she would like a change of scenery, and set her sights on traveling the world! She completed her STCW in January 2009 in South Africa, and flew to Fort Lauderdale in February of 2009 to begin her career as a Stewardess. Since her arrival to the yachting world, she has had the pleasure working on REVERIE (230 feet), as well as OHANA (150 feet), and has happily been a Stewardess on UNFORGETTABLE since May 2009.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, exercising, and is proud to say she is a big movie addict!
