Rodrigo and Kerry-Ann your captain and chef onboard Zingara, are a delightful team whose professional attitude and friendly disposition will ensure that your vacation onboard their yacht will be an unforgettable experience.
Rodrigo was born in Brazil and immigrated to South Africa where he completed his schooling and obtained a University degree in Advertising and Graphic design. He met Kerry in South Africa where she was born and they discovered a mutual love for sailing and water sports which led them to the Caribbean to peruse a career as a professional charter Captain and Chef. Rodrigo holds an MCA Yachtmaster Ocean’s License and is also a PADI Divemaster. His adventurous spirit, natural enthusiasm and expert seamanship will ensure and exiting and safe adventure onboard Shellette.
Kerry has always had a natural passion for cooking, with over 10 years experience in the hospitality industry. Her Creativity in food presentation and effortless smile and charm will make you feel at home while you enjoy ever delicious meal that she prepares. She is a Certified PADI Rescue Diver and water sport enthusiast, and also holds a MCA day skippers license.
Both Kerry and Rodrigo have over 10 000 nautical miles of experience having sailed the east coast of Africa, the Atlantic Ocean, Great Lakes and now the waters of the Caribbean that they have called home since 2003.
Rodrigo and Kerry-Ann are joined by a stewardess and a deckhand/mate.

Peter has followed varied and exciting professions ranging from salvage diving on the African Coast to cattle and game farming in Zimbabwe. For the past 4 years he has been involved with the BVI Charter industry where he has earned the reputation of being a very popular and friendly Charter Captain. He has extensive sailing experience together with 6 Ocean crossings and more than 100,000 sea miles and holds a RYA Yacht Master Ocean Certificate. Your safety will be in good hands. Peter is also a Scuba PADI diving Instructor and takes pleasure in showing his guests the fabulous dive sites that he has found in the Caribbean. He is the perfect charter Captain to take you on your next unique and unforgettable vacation!
Colleen was born in Rhodesia and has traveled and lived throughout Africa, Europe and even Las Vegas! Before marrying Peter, she worked in the travel, airline, hotel, restaurant, tourism and car hire industries. Her motto that "strangers are just friends we have not met" demonstrates her likable and outgoing personality. From an early age, she took a keen interest in cooking and her experience in restaurants and on succesful charter yachts has refined her inventive gourmet talents. She has also trained at the Chez Gourmet School of Cooking and loves to adapt to the personal preferences of her guests which makes her a warm and welcoming host.
