Captain Jay Roberts joins us from Florida but is originally from Philly. He has been in the yachting industry for seven years and a captain for four. After reading Jack London, Jay made his way to Alaska where he got his start working on small cruise ships. He has cruised the Pacific Coast extensively as well as the Caribbean and Bahamas. Jay profoundly loves traveling and exploring new places. This will be Jay’s third season as captain in the Caribbean and enjoys sharing the beauty he has found in the area with others. Jay can often be found helping in the galley with dish washing.
Breanna is your stewardess onboard and is from Lake Havasu City, AZ. She bartended her way through college at a marina in San Diego and found her way into the industry four years ago. She graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelors degree in Marine Biology. Hence, she has been designated the naturalist onboard. She truly loves life under the surface of the ocean. She and Captain Jay are getting married in June of next year.
Chef Jeff is from Athens, GA. He attended Johnson & Whales in Charleston, SC where he obtained his associates in Culinary Arts and later his Bachelors in the Hotel/Restaurant/Institutional Management. Jeff has extensive experience in the hospitality industry ranging from busboy to managing a four diamond restaurant. He has been in yachting for the past 2 years and believes he has found his home as a chef on yachts. When Jeff is not cooking or watching the Food Network he enjoys surfing, traveling and watching Georgia Bulldogs Football. We are proud to share in the excitement of Jeff's recent award during the Concour's du Chef competition in St. Maarten December 2008.
Mate/ Engineer Shade Aaronberg grew up in the East Anglian region of England, in the city of Peterborough and the Shire of Cambridge. He excelled at the arts and science in school, then went on to study fine art. He learned about life and culture in the small university city of Cambridge, 53 miles north of London, where he also received his BA in fine art at the University of East Anglia. On a trip that was planned as a vacation to the U.S., Canada and Argentina, Shade stumbled into the yachting industry while staying at a crew house in Ft Lauderdale. He was offered temporary work in 2004 and has since worked as a steward, a deckhand, crew support and a general care taker for project yachts from 75’ – 152’. He is a happy and helpful fellow whose wish is that you have a wonderful stay aboard!
Captain Jay and Breanna have been working together for 4 years. They make a great team but feel the addition of Chef Jeff and mate Shade this past year has completed their All-Star Team.
