Captain: Craig CampbellNationality: American
Number of Crew: 5
Crew Profiles:
Craig Campbell, Captain: Craig first began his maritime career as a deckhand aboard a 120' when I was thirteen years old in Puget Sound, Washington and British Columbia, Canada. His first trip to Alaska was 4 years later; 41 years ago. Craig has been traveling through BC and to SE Alaska almost every summer since, sometimes for as long as five months during a summer season. He also has three transits of the Panama Canal, several trips to Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. His greatest joy is operating charter yachts with have a strong emphasis on natural history, cultural history and hospitality. Craig has been to every small and large city and village in Southeastern Alaska and British Columbia, but his favorite itineraries include visiting hidden and secret bays, harbors and inlets. Craig is intimately familiar with bear habitats, salmon streams, whale migratory routes and feeding grounds, hot springs, glaciers and native villages. Other life experiences include being an elementary educator, leading navigation and piloting seminars, and boatbuilding. Craig built a 32’ sailboat that he and his family spent many years cruising the Pacific Northwest.

Richard Allen, Engineer: After serving in the US Navy, Richard pursued an art degree and became a teacher and artist in residence. He became an accomplished sculptor, working primarily in metal, creating small, life size, and monumental pieces. Richard was fortunate to work with Paolo Solaris as a foundry man and subsequently set up his own foundry shops in Vail and Aspen, Colorado. During that time, he took up skydiving and accompanied the first group of skydivers to base jump form Angel Falls, Venezuela. Drawn back to the sea, Richard spent many years sailing the Pacific, to Costa Rica and the Cocos Islands aboard his own vessels, before working as a salvage diver and marine mechanic. His true passions, however, are the sound of a purring engine and the rhythm of the sea, so he has spent the past 18 years cruising the west coast as captain, first mate and engineer aboard luxury motor yachts. When he has the time at home in Pt Roberts, WA, he enjoys sculpting. The birds of the northwest are his specialty.

Will Reichert, Mate: Will was born in Grapevine, Texas and raised in Auckland, New Zealand. Growing up in New Zealand Will developed a keen interest in all things maritime from an early age. At the age of 16 he was introduced to the yachting scene by way of the America’s Cup Regatta held in Auckland. During the regatta Will worked as a volunteer for the San Francisco Yacht Club’s Challenge “America True.” After high school Will decided that a career aboard boats and spent the next year studying to gain his certificate in boat building, and then left New Zealand’s shores for Italy and his first job in the yachting industry. After several years on yachts in the Med & Caribbean Will moved back to Auckland in order to pursue his captain’s qualification and then spent 2 ½ years as Mate onboard catamaran fast passenger ferries servicing the islands of the Hauraki Gulf. After obtaining his Inshore Launch Masters License Will decided that it was time to make the move back to the US and back to the yachting industry, in November of ‘09 he joined the crew of Golden Boy II. Will’s interests include motorsports, travel, history, the occasional round of golf and anything to do with aviation or boating.

Aynsley Thomas, Stewardess: , Hailing from Vancouver, B.C., Aynsley was bitten by the travel bug at an early age and loved family vacations, in the summer and at Christmas time. At 14 years of age she traveled for a year, in a motorhome with her family, throughout the United States and Central America. Site-specific home-schooling supplemented her education. Becoming involved in the boating industry through her step-dad, a captain and engineer, Aynsley began her career as a deckhand. He introduced her to the crews of neighbouring motor yachts where her enthusiasm and sense of adventure led her to her first temporary position as a stewardess. Since that time, Aynsley has had many fantastic experiences, and although she loves to drop in at home for a visit, her true passion is the adventure at sea.
