Marie-Andrée, from Québec, and Ogier, from France, met at the famous Glénans sailing school in the French region of Corsica. Ogier was responsible for the site and Marie-Andrée cooked for the students. They had found an idyllic way to work together the world over and continue to practice their passion for sailing – they began chartering in the BVI.
At the age of 10, Ogier told to his mother “I will be a sailor.” He studied sailing, became a fine sailor, and an instructor as well. Five years ago, he purchased a boat in Greece. He worked the Mediterranean, the Brittany region of France and the Caribbean. Ogier’s vast experience will make you feel comfortable and safe on the boat. And because he taught sailing for many years, you will also have the opportunity to learn how to sail. Ogier is actually licensed to open his own sailing school. He is also mechanically fluent when it comes to repairing engines and other boat parts, thanks to his experience working regattas and delivering sailboats.
Before embarking on a cooking career, Marie-Andrée studied at the National School of Public Administration in Quebec City, where she obtained her Master’s degree. She worked three years in human resources for the Quebec government. She has been an avid travellers her entire life, visiting North America, Latin America and Western Europe, where she taught French in Scotland and studied at the University of Vitoria in Northern Spain. She can speak three languages (French, English and Spanish). Today, her new passions are cooking and sailing. Marie-Andrée is naturally cheerful and at ease around people. She will make you feel at home and will cook deliciously healthy meals for you as you holiday in the appetizing destinations that dot the BVI.
