I have been sailing for 28 years including racing at club, national and international level on all types of boat and I have cruised the Mediterranean, Australian, Caribbean & UK waters.

Actually aboard the Ocean’s Seven as Captain on a 58 feet catamaran, my role involves all aspects of boat maintenance and repair as well as customer delivery in the Crewed Yachts Division.
Working with my wife who is in the role of First Mate / Chef, we deliver a high standard of service to our guests in terms of boat presentation, cuisine and sailing, including tuition where requested.

As a Chartered Engineer by background, I have an ability towards the technical side of the boat’s systems. I currently service both the engine and generator on a regular basis, carry out routine maintenance tasks and ensure the yacht is fully fit for charter. During the charter, I am responsible for the safety of the boat and guests at all times and ensure that anyone travelling on the boat is thoroughly briefed about the safety and functional aspects of the yacht.

I take pride in the presentation of the yacht and take great satisfaction that all systems work correctly. I enjoy making guests feel welcome aboard the boat and look to make their vacation as special as possible. My wife and I have been together for 16 years and work seamlessly as a team.

As a Chef / First mate aboard our 58 catamaran I deliver high standards of customer service co-ordinating my role in the galley with the running of the yacht above and below decks. With 35+ charters completed I take pride in being hardworking and organised whilst keeping a fun filled attitude aboard.

The yacht is always maintained to a high standard encouraging the guests to feel as though they are in a home away from home. My menus are healthy and varied with great attention given to the presentation of the dish.
Each meal is planned to encompass the best of local produce available and always with the guests individual preferences paramount.

I have been sailing professionally for 4 years since completing an Atlantic crossing in 2002 and deciding that a life on the water was for me. I have accrued over 14,000 miles to date on yachts ranging from 31 to 72 feet in a variety of different roles in UK, Australian, Mediterranean and Caribbean waters. After the transatlantic passage I moved to Australia for 6 months to gain my Yachtmaster and increase my experience on the water, both onshore and offshore. Prior to entering the charter industry I was a Sailing Instructor in Greece teaching novices to the standard of Keelboat Level 2. In the UK I worked for Sir Chay Blythes company Challenge Business in both shore and land based capacities. I was a crew member for corporate day sailing onboard their 67 and 72 foot racing yachts ensuring guest safety, comfort and enjoyment. During the 2004/5 Global Challenge Round the World yacht race I was a shore based race officer and was the sole point of contact during a shift system for the race yachts, co-ordinating routine race management, crisis operations and media website input.
