CAPTAIN – ANDREW GREGO
Andrew is STCW-95 certified, holds a RYA Yachtmaster Oceans Captains License with a MCA Endorsement, a US Coast Guard Captains License with A Tow Endorsement and has been around boats all of his life. Andrew was born and raised in New Zealand and is still a New Zealand Citizen. Now married to Karen, Andrew has also become a US Citizen. Andrew has been working in the yachting industry for approximately 12 years and has extensively cruised during this time in the South Pacific, Indian Ocean, Caribbean, and the East Coast of the US. Andrew is also a professionally trained chef. He started this training when he was 16 years old, and has been working as a professional chef since then. He has trained and worked in New Zealand, Australia, England, France and the yachting industry. His hobbies and interests include scuba diving, skiing, traveling, fishing and either riding his Road King Harley Davidson or his original 1968 re-furbished Vespa scooter.
STEWARDESS/MATE – KAREN GREGO
Karen is STCW-95 certified and holds a US Coast Guard Captains License with a tow Endorsement, and has taken the courses to become the Medical Person in Charge on board the vessel. Karen was born and raised in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, USA. She has been in the yachting industry for approximately 20 years and has made a full time career in the yachting service and charter industry, which is where she met her husband, Andrew. During the past 20 years she has extensively cruised the Caribbean, Bahamas, East and West Coast of Mexico, East and West Coast of the US, Canada, Alaska, South America, East and West Coast of Central America, and has made passages through the Panama Canal. Her strong background in the service industry promises you a most memorable stay. Her hobbies and interests include scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, traveling, riding her original 1967 re-furbished Vespa scooter, riding her Heritage Softail Harley Davidson, weight training, road biking and just being outdoors.
CHEF - DIANA DAVIS
Born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles Diana grew up eating a wide variety of cuisine. Diana joined the airline industry as a flight attendant and for seven years traveled extensively where she was exposed to different cultures and cuisine. Eventually she left the airline industry to follow in her mother's footsteps who was a private chef and had cooked on their family 's sailing yachts. become a chef. Nine years ago Diana did her culinary training in Paris then worked in Southern California and Hawaii in several fine restaurants and hotels, private clubs.
Knowing that being on the water was natural to her and searching for the perfect job to fulfill her passion to cook and travel!, Diana started working on yachts two years ago. During this time she has traveled on the West Coast, Central America, Florida and the Bahamas. Classics, healthy cuisine, ethnic and desserts are some of her favorites. Her hobbies include continued cooking education, eating at different restaurants, power walking and Pilates. |
