How did you enjoy your cruising vacation?
Absolutely fabulous! Would not have changed a thing! Not even the thunder storm at 4:00am on Christmas Day!!! Jim and Amanda up and on deck with their eyes peeled and flashlights glowing!!! We had an entire week without a glitch!
How would you describe your Captain and crew? Were they Courteous? Helpful? Friendly? Attentive? Knowledgeable?
Perfect!!! Made each and every one of the 9 passengers happy at all times! How could that be possible???
Tell me about your meals? Did the menus meet your expectations?
OMG – the meals belonged in a 5 star, top of the line restaurant in the most famous cities in the world! Each day was a complete surprise and there was never a “let-down” in regards to the delicious treats that Amanda “prepared”. So yummy!!! Can’t wait till we have a chance to have Amanda share them with us!
How is the yacht? Is she clean and well-maintained? Were your cabins comfortable? Was the cockpit comfortable? Was there enough shade?
Bliss was in immaculate condition and stayed that way throughout the entire week due to Jim’s extremely polite way of “reminding” us of our yacht etiquette. Please remember to rinse off………………
Cabins and cockpit were very homey and comfortable. We woke for coffee and the cockpit was spic and span each day! We returned to our rooms after breakfast to the beds made and heads clean. How nice was that??? Jim followed the sunshine and had the shades pulled as necessary!!!
What did you like most about your yacht? What did you like the least?
Everything regarding the Bliss was perfect! Amanda and Jim were the greatest!!! The yacht held appeal for all of our guests and each of their desires! Our least favorite thing was having to leave!!!
How did you find the pace and the itinerary of your vacation?
It was very relaxing and our itinerary fit our fancy due to Jim’s knowledge and flexibility on a day to day basis. He followed the good weather and calm seas!
Would you charter this yacht again? If not, please explain:

| | | | | The Turners, aboard in June, 2009 | I am back from our week on Bliss. Thank you so much for arranging the week and the flights and the many details.
The week on Bliss not only met our dreams, but blew them away. The boat was clean, modern, roomy and sailed beautifully.
Jim and Amamda were the ultimate hosts. My baggage didn't arrive, it became Jim's problem and a one hour round trip in the rain, in the dingy to pick it up later, was done without a thought to complain. Whe Kathy's insulin pump died, (not from a swim in the ocean), again Jim made it his problem, and another trip in the dingy to get insulin without a complaint. Jim made us feel welcome, and made sure we had our every wish fulfilled.
The only decisions we really had to make all week were whether to have a Bloody Mary or Mimosa with breakfast or Red or white wine with dinner.
The itinerary included all the hot spots we had read about in the travel guides. We visited party coves and experienced the Willy T and Soggy Dollar Bar, scenery unparalelled, snorkeling areas that were breathtaking, Natural sites like the Baths, and secluded isolated anchorages.
Amanda should never be called a cook. She is a five star rated chef. Never in my life have I experienced 7 consecutive days of food that made me say "Oh Wow" at every meal and every course. Salad Nicoisse with grilled tuna and a killer homemade dressing, or chicken roti for lunch, pina colada pancakes or rum infused french toast for breakfast, grilled Mahi Mahi in an amazing tropical marinade, beef tenderloin for dinner as just a sampling of the menu. And the desserts..........homemade cheesecake, key lime pie, and chocolate birthday cake.
They made reservations for us on our one night out for dinner and we had the most amazing lobster dinners in the Caribbean.
Not only can I recommend this boat a crew, but I am already plotting a way to spend another week with them. (they have committed to Bliss next year.
Thank you again for finding Bliss and arranging a extraordinary week for me and my family. This is an experience they will never forget.
Mike Turner | | | | | The Brownlies, aboard in May, 2009 | Everything on BLISS was perfection! The crew really was outstanding, anticipating our every need. Captain Jim's sailing expertise was most mpressive (the men were especially in awe of his mooring abilities); we always felt in the best of hands - safety was his number one priority (for us and the boat). Amanda's creations were absolutely five star! Every single meal she created was delicious. The two of them really studied our preference sheets well and were able to fine tune our trip to accommodate the diverse group. The boat is beautiful and it was obvious that it is very well maintained under the care of Jim and Amanda. It was extremely clean ALL THE TIME! And that is with 10 people on the boat. Jim and Amanda were also so very nice and we really believed that they wanted to do whatever they could to make our trip so fantastic.
Honestly, no complaints from anyone. We will highly recommend BLISS and Jim and Amanda Grant to anyone wanting a trip of a lifetime.

Yacht: BLISS with Jim and Amanda
We hope your charter lived up to your expectations. We would love to know some of your impressions about your yachting vacation. Please answer the following questions and add any comments you may have.
Was the crew friendly and accommodating? Amanda and Jim were the BEST! Should we be fortunate to sail again, I’m not sure we could have as good an adventure unless we had the benefit of their talents, skills, and positive attitudes. There was absolutely nothing overlooked in their efforts to make sure we had a superlative time.
Was the yacht comfortable and clean? Impeccable, immaculate. Virtually spotless. State of the art. Professionally well maintained by Jim and Amanda. The Grant’s treat the boat as if it were their own.
Was the yacht well ventilated? Yes, air conditioning, when requested, worked flawlessly.
Was the food good & well presented? We are begging for Amanda to share her recipes. Presentation was always excellent. The food delicious.
Did you like the area you sailed? We were left up to our own devices if that was what we wanted. Jim’s recommendations were always great and nicely balanced with the desires of the 9-person charter.
Could we at Virgin Island Sailing have helped you further in anyway? Your website ultimately directed and sold us on BLISS. Thank you.

Additional comments on your charter? I’ve never seen anyone (Jim and Amanda) work so hard to make sure we had the absolute best time. We actually think they had a good time with us as well. They made it look easy when we knew that it was not. The owner of BLISS is lucky to have them as his charter crew.

It was one of the best vacations that we have ever taken.
How would you describe your Captain and crew? Were they courteous? Attentive? Knowledgeable?
Amanda and Jim were both outstanding. Amanda’s meals were amazing and she doubled as a great underwater guide. She came diving and snorkeling with us and was very knowledgeable about all the different species. Jim was a great captain and master of ceremonies. He put together the perfect itinerary and kept us moving with lots of great activities. He was also like a private instructor helping us windsurf, water ski and scuba dive. We got on the boat after a very busy week for our wedding and Jim did the extraordinary step of even getting some laundry done for us!
Can’t say enough positive things about them both. They are total pros.
Tell me about your meals? Did the menus meet your group’s expectations?
They were outstanding. Great variety and Amanda did an amazing job tailoring her menu to our particular dietary needs.
How is the yacht? Is she clean and well maintained? Were your cabins comfortable?
Bliss is a fantastic boat. She is in perfect shape, very well maintained and has amazing amenities. The sat tv and internet was a nice surprise that we ended up using even though we thought we would not. The sound system was great and all the “toys” were in great shape and a lot of fun. The dive equipment was brand new and iin great shape. I really can’t think of anything that was missing.
How did you find the pace and the itinerary of your vacation?
It was perfect. After a long hectic week for our wedding, Jim knew and executed the perfect mix of relaxation and activities. We often anchored at out of the way places which afforded great privacy.
Would you charter this yacht again? If not, please explain. If yes, what are the key reasons?
Absolutely!

Jim and Amanda are a great team and we had a lot of fun hanging out with them. Our charter was only 2 people so we obviously had a lot of attention but I bet Amanda and Jim would be an amazing team for larger groups as well. Additional comments on your charter? This was the best vacation ever! We have wondered how our trips are ever going to compare to this and we seriously think the only way is to plan another one with your company and Jim and Amanda. The boat’s audio and visual technologies were an added bonus for us. We could choose music for sunbathers and something different for the card players. The wireless internet throughout the boat so my husband could check on his office was also very handy. Also, Jim and Amanda had a reef fish identification book that we were able to record all the species we saw each day. That became a very competitive and fun record of our trip. We cannot say enough about how wonderful this trip was. This was my husband’s and my 5th trip and it surpassed all of the others by miles! Thank you for everything.
