Your Captain on board Anticia is Chris Bowns who looks forward to giving all his guests an unforgettable adventure.
English born Captain Chris has sailed in many waters - all round the UK, in the Mediterranean and in the Caribbean. An engineer by profession he has also owned and run a restaurant in the English Lake District as well as a watersports centre, teaching sailing, windsurfing and kayaking. He holds an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor qualification and would be very pleased to give sailing, navigation and boat handling tuition to any guests who are interested. For over 20 years Captain Chris has enjoyed cruising and racing his many yachts around the British Isles. Since 1990 he has been in the charter business, chartering to guests both bareboat and acting as Captain.
He has now swapped his “cold water” for “warm water” sailing (much more pleasant!) and takes a real delight in sharing his experience, not only of sailing, but also of the wild places and creatures of the Exumas with his guests. From sailing Anticia at her full potential - to watching an osprey catch its fishy prey right next to Anticia’s hull - to finding loggerhead turtles - to snorkelling on coral reefs - or just lazing with a cocktail as the sun goes down, Captain Chris will open up a whole new world for you.
