| CREW PROFILES | | | Captain: Richard Sollows | Nationality: American | | Number of Crew: 3 | | Crew Profiles: Captain Richard Sollows, American
In the course of 25 years in marine trades, Richard has logged over 4800 hours on hundreds of vessels ranging from Florida day charter yachts to motor yachts up to 84 feet in length. He has cruised from Key West through the Chesapeake and on up to Maine. As a freelance instructor, guide and delivery captain, Richard has captained over 100 extended cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean and completed 55 deliveries - from Maine to Venezuela, and the Panama Canal to Peru.
Richard holds a USCG 500 Ton Master upon Oceans License. He keeps up to date by taking continuing education courses at the Maritime Professional Institute in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. With his hands-on experience and a B.S. in Physics from the University of New Hampshire, it’s no surprise that Richard knows how to maintain diesel engines, desalination systems, A/C, plumbing and electronic equipment. He is a PADI certified scuba diver and knows the best spots for snorkeling, fishing, feeding rays and swimming with dolphins in the Bahamas and most of the Caribbean. Richard is excited to be aboard TIVOLI, a yacht built for unlimited exploring in unlimited comfort.
Cook/Mate Bonnie Sollows, American
Bonnie has over twenty years experience in her words, ‘on and around’ motor yachts as mate, stewardess and cook. From May 1997 to September 1998 Bonnie was the owner, cook and mate of a 52 foot cockpit motor yacht cruising and chartering along the Eastern Seaboard and throughout the Bahamas. With Richard, she delivered motor yachts up to 85’ in length north and south from Ft. Lauderdale and served as mate and stewardess on charters to the Bahamas from 2000 to 2005.
Both Richard and Bonnie are from Cape Cod originally so sea food is a specialty on TIVOLI. Bonnie, who has four years experience as a charter cook,
describes her cooking style as ‘casual beach house.’ She especially likes doing lunch on the grill. Bonnie enjoys all water sports, and like Richard, is a PADI certified scuba diver. She has STCW 95 training in Personal Survival Techniques, First Aid and CPR, Basic Fire Fighting, and Personal Safety and Social Responsibility.
Richard and Bonnie’s experience, good humor and warm welcome put guests at ease the moment they step aboard. Exploring, seeking adventure or relaxing in the hot tub on the flybridge, TIVOLI delivers a holiday to remember.
