Captain Stephen Lockhart
New Zealand
Captain Steve has been operating in the Marine industry for some 16 years between New Zealand, Mediterranean, Bahamas, Caribbean, Panama & the East Coast of USA. He loves working on or under the ocean. Over the years, he has worked for the US Survivor series, grass roots development of Caribbean resorts, underwater photography & ocean exploration in the Pacific for the film industry & big game fishing throughout the Caribbean & New Zealand.
Steve became involved in the mega yacht industry some 12 years ago & since then it has been nonstop with a combination of some remote locations for a change of scenery. He has worked on Lady Ann Magee, a 163’ Codecasa; Charade, a 154’ Feadship & Monte Carlo, a 132’ Amels. Captain Steve holds a 500 Ton Unlimited License and is a Dive Master.

"Wouks" grew up in rural South Africa on a sheep and game farm. Being the oldest of four gave him an early opportunity to wander off the beaten path in search of new adventures. This drive for the unknown brought him to the mega yacht industry after university, where he received a degree in Physiology and Bio Chemistry, choosing a life outdoor rather than indoor. Prior to working on
M/Y La Dolce Vita, “Wouks” worked on Sun Chaser, a 124’ Christensen. He holds a 200 Ton Offshore License and STCW 95. Always in search of waves he has spent the last couple of years incorporating yachting into his own global surf expedition.
Chief Stewardess Kate Smith
Australia
Kate grew up in suburban Sydney with an adventurous family. Through her many Australian based holidays her interest in "the other side of the pond" began to grow. She has spent the last ten years abroad and travelled extensively. Kate has been involved in the hospitality industry during this time and therefore has encountered many nationalities, serving styles, traditions and a variety of foods and beverages. Kate received a degree in Recreation and Leisure Management. She has also spent some 7 seasons teaching skiing and snowboarding to children in Canada and the USA. On top that, she is a PADI Open Water Diver!
Kate joined the yachting industry in 2004 working on charters yachts such as Northern Lights, a 150’ Feadship, and Starship, a 143’ Van Mill. Also, she holds a STCW 95. She has enjoyed her time aboard building on her hospitality skills and undergoing new adventures.

Brent started in the hotel & restaurant industry in Auckland, New Zealand. A love of the ocean & creating fine fare led him to the mega yacht industry where he has traveled around the world developing fine recipes & trying out his extensive range of cuisine. He has worked on other charter yachts, including Utopia, a 235’ Feadship, and Monte Carlo, a 132’ Amels. He holds a STCW 95 and a degree in Business Management.
