James M. Kenyon Jr., Captain
Jim began his boating career at the age of 12 on board Lake Michigan fishing boats. When he was 17, he joined the USCG for 5 years before going into yachting full-time. In his free time, he enjoys vintage autos and motorcycles as well as current events.
Virginia L. Kenyon, Purser
Ginny joined Jim in 1988 on board his first command. Over the last 20 years she has furthered her education by taking various classes in interior design, cooking and hospitality. She enjoys all the domestic arts, but gardening and shopping top her list of fun things to do.

Steve Kelly, Chief Engineer
Steve started his boating career as an engineer onboard high speed ferries in Queensland Australia. After meeting a delivery skipper for Oceanfast, he decided to pursue yachting as a full-time career in the south of France. He enjoys outrigger canoe racing and is an avid reader of biographies and history.

Andre Janse Van Rensburg, First Officer
First officer Andre comes all the way from South Africa. Born in Pretoria, Andre has spent the past 4 years working on sailing and motor yachts, cruising the Mediterranean and Caribbean seas. Of all the places he has visited so far, he claims Turkey to be his favorite spot yet. Andre would still like to travel around the South Pacific Islands; especially the Great Barrier Reef because of the magnificent diving and sea life. Andre loves most things to do with water, but his favorite water sports are scuba diving and fishing.
Anton I. Hristov, Bosun
Tony comes from Varna, the Bulgarian Black Sea pearl. At age 26 he has over a decade of working in the hospitality industry under his belt as he has worked in numerous bars and restaurants as well as the biggest hotel chain and several popular cruise lines. After this interesting journey, he has found a home in yachting and is dedicated to furthering his career at sea. His dream is to see the Black Sea become one of the most popular yachting destinations. Tony is very sports oriented and has competed in high school swimming, but enjoys all water and winter sports, fitness and yoga. His favorite place is Barcelona and the coast line of Brazil. On his wish-list of places to see are Thailand, Amsterdam, Australia and South Africa.
Mark Dubyna, Deckhand
Mark was born and raised in Melbourne Australia. He has a familiar background in Australia flora and fauna, and trekking the great outdoors. After finishing high school, he was drafted to the Collingwood football club which is one of Australia’s most prestigious football leagues. He is a keen traveler who has traveled throughout all of Australia, Thailand, South Africa, Central America and England. His hobbies are football, extreme sports, keeping fit, fishing and board games. Mark is new to the yachting industry and is looking forward to a long career.

Paul Tessis, Chef
Paul grew up in Toronto Ontario Canada. By his early 20’s he was smitten with a case of wanderlust and discovered cuisine while on the road. He returned to Canada and graduated from George Brown Culinary Institute. Paul then proceeded to work in one of Canada’s best restaurants, Canoe, for 2 years. The urge to travel took Paul through China, South-East Asia and Korea for the next year and a half before he returned home to hone his craft further by working at Susur’s Missionhill Family Estate, Canada’s top winery, and as sous chef at C restaurant, one of North America’s top fish & seafood restaurants. Following this, Paul travelled again spending 1˝ years in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and the Maldives learning local and regional cuisine. Paul has been yachting since October 2007 and looks forward to sharing his culinary prowess with you.

Kirsty B Peacock, Chief Stewardess
Kirsty hails from Paisley, Scotland near Argyll. She cut her hospitality “teeth” working in prestigious hotels in Glasgow before joining cruise ships. She lived in Corfu Greece before beginning her yachting career 3˝ years ago. She has cruised the Mediterranean and Caribbean seas as well as the Bahamas. Kirsty has 2 Atlantic crossings under her belt and enjoys chilling on the beach with a good book in her free time.
Deanna Valente, Stewardess
Deanna joins us from Cape Code, Massachusetts. While growing up in Cape Cod, Deanna has spent endless summers aboard her family’s boat cruising to Martha’s Vineyard and enjoying Cape Cod. Deanna is a graduate of University of Rhode Island with a B.A. in English. Although new to the yachting industry, her background is comprised of hospitality. She recently worked at the world-class golf course Liberty National on the Hudson in Jersey City, NJ. Deanna enjoys all outdoor activities as well as relaxing with a good book and enjoying the scenery.
Melissa Carroll, Stewardess
Melissa was born in Boston, Massachusetts and spent her childhood between there and Orlando. Her former years were filled with soccer and cross country running. After a 4 year degree in economics at University of Miami, she has spent the past 2 years working and living in Miami, but decided she needed to do some travelling and has started her yachting career on board Argyll. When not working, Melissa loves to read and swim. She looks forward to seeing the Caribbean and starting her adventurous new career at sea. |
