Captain Loic Leroy
French, Born 1977. Loic has been involved in the yacht charter industry for 10 years. For the past 8 years before joining Best Buddies, Lois was co-managing the Moorings Kos Base, one of the busiest charter operating bases in the Mediterranean.
His experience includes all aspects of yacht chartering; from customer service, dock master, technician, bookings management, winterization of the boats and many other duties.
His knowledge and expertise in skippering around the Greek islands and surrounding areas is extremely advanced and recognized by many in the industry in Greece, France and Turkey. He is a young, dedicated and involving skipper, who prides himself in balancing fun with professionalism for his clients.
His other interests include diving, wind-surfing, fishing, trekking, volleyball and kayaking. He enjoys cooking and has picked up culinary skills from Africa, Europe and Asia whilst living and traveling in these continents.
Loic is fluent in French, English, Greek and Indonesian, and has basic knowledge of Arabic, Italian and Spanish.
Hostess Fleur Stone
Australian, Born 1979. Prior to joining the industry, Fleur worked in communications for the Victoria police. She has also been employed in the hospitality industry in Australia and Europe for the past 10 years.
In 2006, she served as hostess and cook on the dive boat HMV Nomad on the Great Barrier Reef. This role required her to cook, clean and entertain up to 18 guests, mostly coming from overseas given the exclusive nature of the vessel. Other experience in the industry includes working at the Moorings Base in Kos providing customer service and as hostess aboard the 54ft S/Y Assos, the 45ft S/Y Leviathan and the 43ft S/Y Lemanja.
Fleur acquired her cooking skills during her tenure in the hospitality industry, as well as from the many international influences in Australian cuisine.
Other interests include water-skiing, diving, trekking, kayaking and outdoor activities in general.
Fleur speaks English and Indonesian fluently, and has basic knowledge of French.
