He was relaxed and fun, while at the same time knowledgeable and took care of the little details, so we didn't have to. It was great to see St Maarten from the water and be able to dinghy into shore for lunch or dinner. In addition to great sailing on Dream Catcher, we got to do some diving off the French side of St Martin, while others went snorkeling. JP's local knowledge of shopping and eating places saved us a lot of time that was better spent sailing, eating and swimming."

Most importantly, he is an extremely knowledgeable sailor with a high level of expertise and experience in navigation. He is very vigilant, constantly monitoring all of those factors which are important when sailing. All of us felt extremely safe with him and decided that having a captain who knew everything about everything was well worth the additional cost. We will NEVER do bareboat!! It was also a huge plus having a PADI certified instructor. We planned the broad brush of the itinerary at the beginning of the trip and tweaked some of the details each day, but pretty much relied on JP for specifics relative to scuba diving, snorkeling, and what to do where. We absolutely LOVED him!!!
The Dream Catcher is an AMAZING boat. It has so much deck space that no one ever felt the least bit cramped. I love the outdoor covered area--we didn't see any cats with that much covered space. Having access to the laptop to occasionally answer some e-mails while mooring was also a good thing. The boat is very fast, very stable, and very safe. Some of the group watched some DVD's at night--there is also a Play Station.
The itinerary was perfect--loved the sail across to Anegada and the beach there was so very beautiful. We rented a jeep/truck vehicle and JP drove us all around."

Dreamcatcher is a great boat. I had fun asking a million questions,learning about sailing, and helping JP when able. He is a great captain, entertaining, funny, knowledgeable, right mix of
traits for my family for sure.
Diving was wonderful, especially the Rhone, and having all equipment,tanks and refills on boat is great luxury.
I liked Anageda best, and we had an incredible time on Fallen Jerusalem all by ourselves. Snorkelled every day, in water by 8:30AM usually (I awoke 6:30AM every day for some reason???).
I can't wait to plan another charter and we will definitely call you and request JP again. I would like to do 10 days next time at least.
I have his email so will be sending him some pictures in near future.
