Captain Harold Moyer has extensive charter experience and has worked in and around the marine industry his entire life. Growing up on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay of the Eastern United States and then starting his own business repairing yachts in the Virgin Islands, made crewing on charter yachts the next natural progression. Harold holds a USCG 500 ton Master Oceans license. He has sailed many seas from the North Atlantic, Mediterranean, Caribbean, Northern and South Pacific. He enjoys travel, music, adventure sports, and most of all, spending time with his newborn daughter, Bailey. Harold is considered among the best in the field by his peers and charter guests alike, and is consistently asked for by clients, no matter what yacht he’s on.
Chef Wendy Weller attended the renowned Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. In addition to her lifelong experience in catering and hospitality, in 1990 she began working aboard luxury yachts large and small. She also holds a USCG 100 ton captain's license.
From 1995 to 2001 Wendy was employed as a chef on sail and power yachts working throughout the Caribbean and East Coast. Her expertise working with other talented chefs and the challenges of developing and executing menus in challenging areas has enabled her to develop a creative and unique approach to provisioning and fine dining. Wendy is fun and energetic with an upbeat personality and is a great addition to any crew.
Mate Kirstie Milne hails from the sailing nation of New Zealand. She has worked in the maritime industry for seven years and holds a Captain’s license. In addition to her success as crew, she also has experience in hospitality and tourism. Kirstie has been aboard Irishman for several months, having joined during the yacht’s recent trans Pacific crossing. Kirstie’s knowledge of yachts combined with her bright smile, make her a great asset to Irishman’s crew.
Stewardess Megan Shorrocks joins Irishman from Australia. She has experience in many areas of yachting, including crewing, group chartering, hostessing and sailing in Australia, the UK and the Med. She holds a R.Y.A. Competent Crew certificate and her interests include travel, outdoor activities, sports and (of course) sailing. She is enthusiastic, energetic and ready for adventure making her a perfect fit with the Irishman crew.
